32nd MIR evolution of tactics

Things have recently changed, the tactics will now focus mainly on the use of small units and even modified charges that people haven't seen since the Korean Conflict.  Also you will see modern American and British tactics, old German tactics of WWII as well, and even from WWI and how the German gun emplacements worked.  We will work to amaze.  ^.^

"Banzai"

First off the bat, we've seen these from old dubya dubya two movies right?  They yell "banzai" and charge as fast as they can, okay that's all fine and dandy but that's not how they took ground nor is it how they were planned.  The original purpose of the banzai charge was to number one off the bat, cause psychological disorders among enemy troops as we all know and fear being cut by a sword, knife, or bayonet.  Number two is to be a diversion from the real front line, and that's behind your rear lines.  A major problem with the Western way of charges is to just run in a zigzag at MOST and hope not to get hit and take ground, the banzai charge however is where you need to actually make an attempt to avoid bullets, duck behind cover or concealment, lay suppressive fire and lob a couple grenades to thwart rookies and stupid people mostly and then charge again, then repeat.  This is the truth behind the banzai charge as it really was.  Also, that wasn't the only kind of banzai charge that existed, the other was the REAL banzai charge where a small stealthy unit supported by mortars would methodically lob grenades into spots that would make it look like another lucky or well placed arty shell.

patrol

Idea is pretty effective when it comes to patrols, you use two or three very small groups and have your point men crawl.  Yes you heard me, they crawl along the ground at slow speeds through bushes and shrubs in order to not be seen.  When you spot a unit you get the hell out of dodge while keeping low and quiet the same way to came in.  Do not be afraid when you're shot at, just keep low and get behind cover and return fire, that's when the rest of the team comes and saves the day and the other one or two squads you sent out to shadow that patrol show up from other angles surprising the hell out of the opponent with more than effective firepower.  Basically from the OpFors point of view it starts out sounding like one or two guns going off at a time to a couple dozen.  ^.^  When things stop going your way and you start to take casualties, fall back and disappear using stealth.  Mind you, the main patrol (AKA not the point men but the infantry) need to remember to be using stealth themselves and keep usually in a crouch position while slow moving and sometimes darting from one piece of cover to the next and even crawling too.

Blowing crap up

Yes, I said "blowing crap up" and you know you're interested (Muahahaha).  This is the funnest part that happens to be here, but also one of the riskiest, it's infiltration basically speaking.  The idea is to sneak behind enemy lines (remember what I said about the banzai charges?) and then place a satchel or two in key positions while making them look like arty fire coming from a ways away that just happen to be "lucky shots".  I'm sure those of you who have been to the fair and have done the horse shoe toss know how hard it is to accurately hit a small target like that from far away.  Usually what you do is take a three or four man team (quietly) behind enemy lines and slip into an enemy base and wreak havoc as you please basically while remembering to organize an artillery or surgical strike at the same time you decide to set off the charges.  As you can guess this plan is very powerful.  You can see that it wouldn't be too hard to mistake the bombings for a simple artillery strike.

Warfare mod

The HQ in this form of warfare is very touchy, once in combat you CAN NOT dislocate it, and once destroyed you CAN NOT bring it back or move your base.  Do not forget the form of warfare I have taught you so far is at heart a form of highly mobile warfare so I recommend you keep that base moving after EVERY battle to save yourself the hassle of being pinned.  Honestly I highly recommend that you actually place the base in the mountain regions or in cities where it'll be harder to find, and don't just put it in the dead center of the whole base or that will make it the first place to look.  The best place to hide it would probably be in Ortego where there are many different escape routes, such as towards the mountains, Corazol, or maybe even Dolores.  As for dealing with logistics, it's going to be very hard to shield those vehicles from ATG weapons but very easy in the setting of dealing with ground to ground arsenals.  The reason I say this is because aside from tanks and the javelin system, not much will actually lock on to the vehicles, as for aircraft, always escort the trucks with some kind of AA weapon either it be M113 Vulcan, FIM92A Stinger, 9K32M Strela-2, or a ZSU-23-4 Shilka, or even another aircraft you NEED to protect those trucks they WILL make a difference.  Many people underestimate the importance of logistics, it's costed many amazing generals great battles!  Also, while I'm at important things, remember that the maps you have all have topography, learn it and you will have a great land advantage at your disposal, and learn to operate in your own area of operations, that way you will know the lay of the land in that small sector you control, and screw em as they pass!  ^.^
